In 2024, the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) established a cooperation framework between the competition authorities of the region, providing an official platform for competition law collaboration among the member states. This cooperation aims to promote the harmonization of competition policy practices, the sharing of professional experiences, and coordinated enforcement efforts. The Hungarian Competition Authority (Gazdasági Versenyhivatal, GVH) joined the organization as an observer state, participating in the cooperation processes, monitoring and analyzing regional professional developments, and actively contributing to the strengthening of competition law capacities in the Turkic states through its bilateral cooperation agreements.
