Mr Juhász was appointed as the President of the Hungarian Competition Authority in 2010. He graduated from Eötvös Lóránd University in 1976 with a degree in law and began his career in the same year as a law clerk at the Pest Central District Court. He was later appointed as a judge at the Property Law Unit of the Pest Central District Court in 1979 before becoming the Acting Vice President of the XVIII-XIX District Court from 1983-84. After this period he joined MD Entrepreneur and Trade Ltd, where he worked for four years in various positions before leaving the company as deputy director general. From 1990 he worked as an attorney, managing his own law firm from 2001.
Mr Tóth has been the vice-president of the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) and Chairman of the Competition Council since 2010. He is also an associate professor and the Head of the Department of Infocommunication law at the Károli Gáspár University of Reformed Church in Hungary Faculty of Law. He was a case handler of the GVH from 2002 to 2007. In 2007 he joined a leading American law firm’s offices in Brussels and Budapest. He is the editor in chief of the scientific paper of the GVH the ‘Competition mirror’ (Versenytükör); furthermore, he is a member of the editorial committee of the European Networks Law and Regulation Quarterly and the Public Governance, Administration and Finances Law Review.
Mr Bak serves as Vice President of the Hungarian Competition Authority from 2016, where he is responsible for the supervision of antitrust and consumer protection investigations. He earned his law degree at Péter Pázmány Catholic University. In 2009, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in German law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, and in 2014, he accomplished postgraduate studies of EU competition law at King’s College London. After working as a lawyer for several years he joined the GVH and served in several positions: after three years of being chief of staff, he was appointed as head of Litigation, later he led the Legal Unit.
Ms Tevanné was appointed as the Secretary General of the Hungarian Competition Authority in 2011. In 1984 she obtained a degree in administration management and in 1992 a degree in system analysis at the College of Public Administration. In 2000 she graduated from Eötvös Lóránd University with a degree in law and in 2003 she also acquired a postgraduate degree specialised in real estate management from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. Her career in the administrative field began in 1984 at the XXII District Council of Budapest. After holding several leadership positions of authority she was appointed as deputy notary public. From 2003 to 2011 she was a notary public at Budaörs and at the Budafok-Tétény Budapest XXII District municipality. She is also a member of the National Statistical Council and of the National Public Administration Board of Examiners.
