Evaluating the first 10 months of 2010 - the leadership of the GVH took farewell; Ms. Andrea BELÉNYI received the "Competition Culture" award

On 29 October 2010, the President, the Vice-Presidents and the Secretary-General of the Hungarian Competition Authority (Gazdasági Versenyhivatal - GVH) spent their last working day at the GVH. On the farewell ceremony, analysing the work made during the first 10 months of 2010, similarly to the previous years, the President of the GVH assessed the outcome as successful. As he said, the work of the GVH might not be measured by a single indicator. However, if one thinks about the fact that during the first 10 months of the year fine of more than HUF 10 billion (approx. EUR 36,4 million) has been imposed by the GVH, it can be deemed that there is much, honest and high level professional work behind this performance.

On the ceremonial event the "Competition Culture" award was assigned to Ms. Andrea BELÉNYI - Secretary-General of the GVH, who worked on the establishment of the "Competition Culture Centre" of the GVH and managed its work for five years. Dr. István STUMPF, judge of the Hungarian Constitutional Court was the guest of honour of the ceremonial event.
