Recently established financial section within the GVH
During the last few years, the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) has experienced in the course of its competition supervision proceedings that the number of proceedings in connection with banks and other financial institutions has increased. The management of the GVH has hereby decided to establish a separate section for accomplishing the related tasks in order to be able to properly handle the complaints and informal complaints, to close the investigations as early as possible and to have a more coherent and integrated approach to the financial sector as far as competition policy is concerned. The Financial Services Section started its activity during the last days of 2009, under the leadership of Surd Kováts.
